<p><strong>My vision for Kitchissippi is simple: </strong>better services, better value and a stronger voice for residents at City Hall.</p><p><strong>For too long, Kitchissippi residents have paid more and received less. </strong>Our community generates a lot of revenue through property taxes, development and parking fees. We should see more of that money invested back into our community.</p><p>We live in one of the best communities in Ottawa. As our neighbourhoods grow and costs continue to rise, it’s time Kitchissippi gets its fair share.</p>

I’ll push to repair potholes and sidewalks, improve road safety and address problem areas. <p><strong>As Kitchissippi grows, our recreation space needs to grow with it. </strong>I’ll push for a modern recreation and wellness centre in the Tunney’s Pasture/Bayview area, giving children, families and seniors more opportunities to stay active and connected. I’ll also advocate for community and recreation space in new developments. As we add more neighbours, we need to add the services and spaces that make our community a great place to live.</p>

<p><strong>Transit should be fair, reliable and built around the people who use it. </strong>I support fair, distance-based fares so shorter trips cost less. I’ll push to bring independent transit experts to the table to improve routes and reliability, and improve real-time tracking so riders know when their bus is actually coming. I’ll also support creating lively spaces in and around LRT stations.</p>

<p><strong>Residents deserve better services, not bigger bills.</strong> I’ll oppose new taxes and levies and push City Hall to cut waste, find efficiencies and spend smarter before asking residents to pay more. I’ll also fight to keep more of the revenue generated in Kitchissippi working in Kitchissippi, so our tax dollars are reflected in better roads, recreation, transit and neighbourhood services.</p>
